The scenic beauty of the park and the crystal clear water of Broken Bow lake and the lower Mountain Fork River, make Beavers Bend State Park one of the most popular resort area destinations in the Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas regions. It is located nine miles north of Broken Bow, Oklahoma on Hwy 259A.
Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake are only minutes from our cabins and offer experiences many people don't realize are located in Southeast Oklahoma. The state park basically has everything nature can offer. Tall peaks with vast views, meandering rivers, a pristine lake, and wildlife around every bend. There are many outdoor activities, such as designated hiking trails, river floats, fishing, a minature train that takes short trips and horseback riding from the Beavers Bend Depot and Stables. Lake access is also available in the park. Renting watercraft through Beavers Bend Marina is also a popular activity. For indoor activities, stop by the Forest Heritage Museum to learn all about the history of local foresty.
This is such a beauty park. We really enjoy walking along the river and listening to the water rush over the rocks. We had no idea this place existed.

Canoe, kayak, and inner tube rentals are available for those wishing to experience the crystal clear waters of the Lower Mountain Fork River. River trips take place east of Broken Bow. However, Beavers Bend State Park offers rentals that do not require seperate drop off and pick up areas.
